Students who have taken a high school equivalency exam must meet the following standards to be assured admission to KU:
- have earned a 2.0 transferable GPA on any college credit taken in high school
- have earned a 21+ ACT (1060+ SAT*)
- submit official GED or HiSET test scores that meet the minimums in the table below. Students who took the GED in Kansas should request that official scores be sent from the Board of Regents GED page.

*If you are 21 and older, test scores are not required. All references to SAT scores refer to math and evidence-based reading and writing from tests taken after March 2016. For tests taken before March 2016, please use this table to convert your score.
If you do not meet these standards, we still encourage you to apply. We will consider all applicants for admission on a case-by-case basis.
