Enrollment Deposit

Pay your deposit online

To pay your $221 enrollment deposit, you’ll first need to create your KU Online ID. (Do not share your KU Online ID and password with anyone else — if a parent is paying for you, see the “Delegate Payment” section below.) When ready, set your browser to allow pop-ups, as additional windows will open during each process, and follow these instructions below:

  1. Using your KU Online ID, log in to Enroll & Pay
  2. Click "Student Center"
  3. Click "Account Management" in the “Finances” section
  4. Once paid, click the "Activity" tab. This page will display your enrollment deposit charge and payment.

There is a 2.85% fee for paying with a credit card (MasterCard, Discover, Visa, and American Express are accepted), and no fee for paying by electronic check. If you have recently been admitted and do not see an enrollment deposit charge, check back the next day.

This deposit may be refundable or partially refundable, depending on outstanding charges on your KU account, if you submit this form by May 1 to notify us that you will not be attending KU. If you miss this deadline or have enrolled in classes, the deposit is nonrefundable.

If you encounter issues with deposit payment, contact KU IT’s customer service center.

Types of Enrollment Deposit

To allow parents or delegates to make payments on your behalf, you must establish each as a delegate in Enroll & Pay, and as a Payment Delegate with our third-party vendor. Please set your browser to allow pop-ups, as additional windows will open during each process, and follow both sets of instructions below.

To set up a delegate:

  1. Using your KU Online ID, log in to Enroll & Pay
  2. Click "Student Delegation"
  3. Click "Set up Delegates"
  4. Fill out your delegate’s information and check the boxes that correspond with the access you wish to allow (“Student Financials” must be checked to allow payments)
  5. Click “Send Email” to send login information to your delegate by email

To set up a payment delegate:

  1. Using your KU Online ID, log in to Enroll & Pay
  2. Click the “Campus Finances” folder
  3. Click “Make Payment-Recharge KU Card” link
  4. Click “Pay Tuition, Housing and Other Charges” button; you may need to select either “University of Kansas (Lawrence Campus)” or “University of Kansas Medical Center” as your Campus Identity provider
  5. Click “Payment Delegates”
  6. Click “Add Payment Delegate” and fill out your payment delegate’s information, then click “Continue”
  7. Read the agreement and click the “I Agree” box, then click “Continue” to send login information to your delegate by email

You can remove a delegate by clicking the "Deactivate" button and saving changes on the “Delegate Options” page in Enroll & Pay. You can also add new delegates through the "Add New Delegate" button on the same page.

Log in to the Delegate Enroll & Pay site using the credentials you received via email from registrar@ku.edu titled “Message from your student.” On your first visit, you will set up a password, four-digit PIN, and security questions. Then, with your browser set to allow pop-ups (additional windows will open during this process), follow these instructions:

  1. Click the “Campus Finances” folder
  2. Click the “Make Payment-Recharge KU Card” link
  3. Click the “Pay Tuition, Housing and Other Charges” button
  4. Log in to this payment delegate site using the second set of credentials you received from stu.account@ku.edu titled “You have been given access” (Please note that this temporary password is different from your Enroll & Pay delegate temporary password, though you can match this permanent password with your Enroll & Pay delegate password for convenience)
  5. Click “Make a Payment” and follow the instructions to pay by electronic check or credit card

There is a 2.85% fee for paying with a credit card (MasterCard, Discover, Visa, and American Express are accepted), and no fee for paying by electronic check.
