How to Visit KU — At a Glance
KU offers free in-person campus visits Monday through Friday, including an admissions presentation, guided tour, and optional academic department meetings. Summer 2026 Jayhawk Days run May 26 – August 7. All visits start at the Jayhawk Welcome Center, 1266 Oread Ave., Lawrence, KS 66045.
Can't visit in person? A 360-degree virtual tour, school-specific online info sessions, and a YouTube tour series are all available free at any time.

What Happens on Your KU Visit
Exactly what to expect when you register for a Jayhawk Days campus visit.
Register Online — Free
Visit go2.ku.edu/portal/campusvisit to pick a date and complete your free registration. A confirmation email with your personalized itinerary follows immediately.
Arrive at the Jayhawk Welcome Center
All visits start at 1266 Oread Ave., Lawrence, KS 66045. Arrive 15 minutes early. Parking is available in adjacent lots.
Admissions Presentation
A KU admissions counselor covers academic programs, scholarships, campus life, the application process, and deadlines. Questions are welcome throughout.
Guided Campus Walking Tour
A trained student ambassador leads you through residence halls, academic buildings, the Kansas Union, and KU's iconic hilltop landscape — approximately 90 minutes.

Register for a free Jayhawk Days visit at go2.ku.edu/portal/campusvisit. Choose a date, complete the short form, and receive your confirmation with a personalized itinerary. Summer 2026 dates run May 26 through August 7.
A Jayhawk Days visit includes an admissions presentation covering academics, scholarships, and the application process; a guided walking tour led by a student ambassador; interactive time at the Jayhawk Welcome Center; and optional meetings with academic department representatives. All visits are free of charge.
KU does not typically offer scheduled campus visits on weekends. Most Jayhawk Days are held Monday through Friday. The Jayhawk Welcome Center at 1266 Oread Ave. may be accessible for self-guided visits on select weekends. For current availability call 785-864-3911 or check admissions.ku.edu/visit.
Yes. KU holds dedicated Transfer Fridays visits for prospective transfer students, covering transfer-specific admissions presentations, credit evaluation guidance, and campus tours. Touring KU on weekends
The University of Kansas does not typically offer campus visits on weekends, although availability may vary depending on the time of year and specific events.
