    Admission Requirements

    Apply as a freshman if:

    • You are a graduating domestic high-school senior (International students apply at the ISSS site), or
    • You have earned a high-school diploma or received qualifying GED scores and have not attended any postsecondary institution such as a college, university, community or junior college, or vocational-technical school.
    • Your only college credit was earned while still attending high school.
  • Take the ACT or SAT

    Be sure to have an ACT or SAT score on-file and complete your application for admission by Nov. 1 to be considered for KU scholarships.

    Nov. 1

    Complete your application for admission by Nov. 1 to be considered for scholarships. A complete application includes:

    • Admission application and $30 fee (unless you qualify for a fee grant)
    • ACT or SAT scores
    • High school transcript or GED scores
    • List of your senior year courses
    • No essays or co-curricular transcripts required
