Early outreach: middle school visits
We are now accepting reservations for students in 6th-9th grades.
How to attend
To register, call (785) 864-3911 or e-mail visit@ku.edu.
Why come to a Middle School Visit Day?
Giving students the chance to become familiar with the idea of college is a great way to help them succeed in the future. Learning about college at a younger age will help students with their long-term goals.
What will I do during my visit?
Upon arriving at the KU Visitor Center, a presentation will be given on general information needed to prepare students for college. The presentation will promote discussion and questions on college information and other related topics.
When will these visit days be offered?
Presentations will be given most Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30. Please arrive by noon to complete the check-in process. All additional activities will be left to the discretion of the group leaders or counselors. For more options and activities on campus, see field trips at KU.
How do I register?
Please be ready to provide any information that will help us to accommodate you such as when groups will be arriving to campus, how long groups plan to stay, where the groups are coming from, and any additional information that might be of assistance.
Where do I check in?
Students and group leaders or counselors will meet in the lobby of the KU Visitor Center. Each student will be given a folder and a contact sheet to fill out. Maps, parking information, and other helpful tools can be found at the front desk.
We hope to see you on campus soon! Have a great day!
