Jayhawk Day visits
A Jayhawk Day is a free campus visit open to any high school or transfer student and their guests. Reservations for visits are required and visit days do fill up, so reserve early and before booking travel arrangements. See the box at right to reserve your spot!
How to attend
After you register online, we'll send an email confirmation of your visit. We'll also mail a confirmation letter to you before your visit.
What is a Jayhawk Day?
Each Jayhawk Day includes:
- An introduction to KU from admissions representatives
- A one-hour walking tour of campus with our Student Ambassadors
- Optional residence hall tours
We provide parking and campus transportation. In the event of inclement weather, we may offer a shortened campus tour via bus. Please remember to dress appropriately for a walking tour and the ever-changing Kansas weather – casual attire is welcomed.
What else can you do on your visit?
If you'd like to stay on campus longer, we're happy to help customize your visit. We can help you:
- Tour a residence hall
- Meet with a faculty member or adviser (requires 10 days' notice)
- Eat lunch at a KU residence hall cafeteria
- Learn about Greek life (fall and spring semesters only)
- See Allen Fieldhouse and the Booth Family Hall of Athletics
- Check out a KU museum
- Meet with Financial Aid & Scholarships
- Visit the Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center
