How U.S. transfers apply to KU
It's easy! No essays or co-curricular transcripts, and you'll automatically be considered for KU's renewable scholarships if you submit a complete application by Feb. 1. Or, apply by mail (pdf), which takes longer.
A complete transfer application includes:
- Admission application and $40 fee (unless you qualify for a fee grant)
- Official transcripts from each college you’ve attended. A faxed transcript (sent directly from the college) is acceptable for admission consideration only, but we won’t award transfer credit until we receive official transcripts mailed or sent electronically from the college via an electronic transcript provider.
If you have fewer than 24 transferable semester credit hours, we'll also need
- Final, official high school transcript (or GED scores) with your graduation date mailed from your high school or the state GED agency.
- ACT or SAT scores
Updating your application
Use the Apply Now button to continue working on your unsubmitted application. If you need help, see the online application FAQs or email email@example.com. Once you've submitted your application, you can still update your application.
You'll get an email when your application has been received in our office, but you can always check your admission status.
After you're admitted to KU, see the admitted students page for your next steps in becoming a Jayhawk. You can schedule a visit any time, and don't forget to file the FAFSA by the March 1 priority deadline for financial aid.
