Admission requirements

2013-2014 High School Graduates

To apply for admission to KU, students must submit an application for admission with $30 nonrefundable application fee. General admission requirements to KU’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences are listed below. Professional schools have different requirements, which can be seen by clicking the school name on the left.

Kansans

Nonresidents

Kansas residents graduating from a non-accredited high school or home school

  • GED with 510+ on each sub-test and overall 2550+ score or
  • 21+ ACT/980+ SAT

Out-of-state residents graduating from a non-accredited high school or home school

  • GED with 510+ on each sub-test and overall 2550+ score or
  • 24+ ACT/1090+ SAT

GED students

  • 510+ on each sub-test and overall 2550+ score and
  • Submit official ACT or SAT scores
