2013-2014 High School Graduates
To apply for admission to KU, students must submit an application for admission with $30 nonrefundable application fee. General admission requirements to KU’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences are listed below. Professional schools have different requirements, which can be seen by clicking the school name on the left.
Kansans
- 21+ ACT/980+ SAT or
- Rank in the top one-third of your high school class or
- 2.0+ GPA in the Kansas Qualified Admissions curriculum
Nonresidents
- 24+ ACT/1090+ SAT or
- Rank in the top one-third of your high school class or
- 2.5+ GPA in the Kansas Qualified Admissions curriculum
Kansas residents graduating from a non-accredited high school or home school
- GED with 510+ on each sub-test and overall 2550+ score or
- 21+ ACT/980+ SAT
Out-of-state residents graduating from a non-accredited high school or home school
- GED with 510+ on each sub-test and overall 2550+ score or
- 24+ ACT/1090+ SAT
GED students
- 510+ on each sub-test and overall 2550+ score and
- Submit official ACT or SAT scores
